Brass & Sterling Silver
Brass and sterling silver are both subject to natural oxidation over time. To keep your jewelry shining, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or chemicals and fully dry jewelry after getting it wet. Storing jewelry in an air tight container, like a jewelry box, can slow the oxidation process. If you see oxidation, simply rub your jewelry with a polishing cloth (included in each order) to restore the shine.
Depending on your skin's current PH balance, brass has the potential to turn skin green. This is not an allergy, it is a perfectly normal process of the copper in brass reacting with the acids, sweat, or moisture on your skin. The best way to combat this reaction is to care for your jewelry properly with the instructions above.
